Create a Customer User
This workflow describes how to create a Customer User.
When an individual sends an email to support@cadpro.co.nz but their email address is not connected to a Customer record in OTRS
it's required that the individual be created as a Customer User in OTRS.
To correctly create a Customer User in OTRS, Use the Cadpro CRM. Open the CRM to the Customer record and identify the individual
ensuring their email address matches the address used to create the OTRS ticket.
Click on the Phone (Create phone ticket for Contact) icon next to the name.
OTRS will open a new phone ticket window and an Edit User Window. (Close the new phone ticket window which is not currently needed.)
Populate the Customer User details ensuring the email address and CustomerID reflects the correct information.
Once the Customer User has been created, assign the Customer User to the ticket.
Select People > Customer and populate the Customer User field with the newly created Customer User.
